Brutal

Sighing....
We sold 1000 oysters last year at our Oyster Fest
This year they brought
300

Had to limit our customers to only six and we still ran out in less than an hour...and just guess how many your writhing, wanting, teeth squeezing blogger girl here had....

Dude, not a one.
We have scrapped our Blind Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon tasting that was scheduled on Novemeber 27th and we are doing a Annual Oyster Fest 5 Part Deux. This was not a Fest, this was a tease.

I would like to thank our ever gracious customers for their patience and understanding, was a horrible mix up and I assure you no one was more upset than we were and you were all so very cool in the face of this toying with your oyster loving emotions moment. Trust me, I feel you...

Awe, that sucks so bad! I know how much you were looking forward to it. Who only ordered 300?

Did indeed suck but people were so cool I just couldn't think too much about myself...until now dammit. Yeah, the ordering...so while there was no official number given to the restaurant that we have done this event with for the past four years, we did say that there could be close to 100 people. So I guess they thought 2 per person was going to be enough? Dunn but we will be using another vendor for the November 27th just in case.

2 per person? These things have like zero calories, who has just two?

TWG,
I know right?! Who the hell eats two oysters at a wine and oyster event? Getting me all riled up again you...

Dang! Sorry I missed it (friend called needing help last minute), but glad to hear there will be another one! I heard the wines (as expected) were divine.

Another Day of Crazy,
Sorry you missed it? Yeah so were the sixty something people that showed up! I'm thrilled to have this do over and can only hope the wines we pick show as beautifully as the ones we poured yesterday....they were truly lovely.

My Gorgeous Samantha,

So what did the incompetent caterer say when he was woefully short of oysters?

"Ah, shucks?"

Never mind.

I love you

Funny, last night I ordered six oysters as appetizer and when they came out I found eight on the plate. No explanation from the waiter, and no questions asked by me...

And here I thought a single serving of oysters was twelve. Hope you get my serving and yours the next time.

Oh that blows! However, I'm selfishly jubilant because I can make it to the fest on the 27th. Couldn't make this one, but apparently I didn't miss much. Can't wait for round two!
xoxo, Heather

Ron,
I love you but....boo.

Thomas,
Lucky....

webb,
For a starter yes but I know several of our customers that take down 4 or 5 single servings at this event so I will make sure that next time they get both of our share!

Heather,
Awesome girlie and I will see you on the 27th.

Yes, it was disappointing. The oysters, that is.
Yes, it was thrilling. The wines, that is.
The pours were generous, you guys were all graciousness, and we understand completely.
And will gear up for the 27th.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately.
Working on my comeback.
Love,
Vicki
